The Chamber presents our first annual Memorial Wreath Lighting Ceremony with Title Sponsor BlueOval City Ford

This past Small Business Saturday, we, the Brownsville Haywood County Chamber of Commerce, marked the official start of the A Classic Christmas in Haywood event series with a beautiful Memorial Wreath Lighting Ceremony in Brownsville. The event was a heartfelt opportunity for community members to come together and remember their loved ones, setting a tone of reflection and unity to kick off the holiday season.

The ceremony took place on the historic lawn of the Haywood County Courthouse, where 2 beautifully lit wreaths were unveiled as symbols of collective remembrance. Local residents gathered and received free custom ornaments to decorate and honor those they have lost, sharing in a moment of reflection as the holiday season began. The wreath lighting served as a way for the community to remember their loved ones while also embracing the joy and togetherness that the holidays bring.

This special ceremony was made possible thanks to the generous support of BlueOval City Ford, the Title Sponsor of the event.

Their commitment to the community helped bring this meaningful tribute to life, and their sponsorship ensured that the ceremony was an unforgettable occasion for all who attended. BlueOval City Ford's continued involvement in local events like this demonstrates their dedication to supporting Brownsville and Haywood County throughout the year.

Thank you to all of our community leaders for speaking to commemorate this event

Following the wreath lighting, the A Classic Christmas in Haywood event series officially kicked off, promising more holiday cheer with activities, shopping opportunities, and family-friendly festivities throughout the holiday season. The events are designed to showcase local businesses, encourage community engagement, and spread the magic of Christmas across Haywood County.

As the holidays draw near, the A Classic Christmas in Haywood series will continue to offer a variety of events aimed at bringing residents and visitors together in celebration. Whether you're shopping locally or enjoying a festive activity with family, this holiday season in Haywood promises to be one to remember.

A big thank you to BlueOval City Ford for their generous support, to all who attended the Memorial Wreath Lighting Ceremony, to our community leaders who spoke at the event including Chamber Chairman Leonard Jones, Haywood County Mayor David Livingston, Sherriff Billy Garrett, and Lt. Covington, to the Haywood High School Choir for performing beautiful carols, and to the many local businesses and organizations who make events like these possible. Here’s to a joyful and memorable holiday season in Haywood County!
