Honoring Black Excellence: Celebrating Dr. Jayson Cannon and Cannon Chiropractic

Last Updated 2/17/2026

At the Brownsville Haywood County Chamber of Commerce, we are proud to represent a community filled with hardworking individuals who are committed to service, leadership, and excellence. This month, as we celebrate Black history and Black achievement, we are launching a special series honoring Black-owned Chamber member businesses that continue to strengthen our local economy and uplift our community through their dedication and impact.

It is only fitting that we begin this series by recognizing a business—and a leader—who exemplifies what it means to serve with purpose: Dr. Jayson Cannon of Cannon Chiropractic.

Cannon Chiropractic plays an important role in helping our community live healthier, more comfortable lives. With a commitment to compassionate care and patient-centered service, Dr. Cannon and his team provide support to individuals and families seeking relief, wellness, and a better quality of life. His work goes far beyond chiropractic services—it reflects a mission of healing, empowerment, and long-term well-being for the people of Haywood County.

What makes Cannon Chiropractic truly special is the heart behind the care. Dr. Cannon treats every patient with professionalism, respect, and the kind of personal attention that makes people feel seen and valued. His dedication to treating others like family is a reflection of the strong values that define not only his business, but also the best of our Brownsville community.

A Heartfelt Note of Gratitude

As the Executive Director of the Chamber, I want to personally express how grateful I am for Dr. Cannon—not only for his membership and investment in the Chamber, but also for his leadership as one of our Chamber Board members.

Dr. Cannon is the kind of leader every community hopes for: dependable, thoughtful, and committed to seeing Brownsville grow and thrive. His presence on our Board is a reminder that leadership is not just about holding a title—it’s about showing up, giving back, and helping move the community forward.

And on a personal note, as an African American woman and leader, this recognition holds special meaning for me.

Black-owned businesses represent resilience, vision, and generational determination. They are built through sacrifice, faith, and an unwavering belief in the future. Celebrating Black entrepreneurs like Dr. Cannon is not only important—it is necessary. His success reflects progress, but it also reflects the responsibility we carry to continue opening doors for those coming behind us.

Dr. Cannon is a shining example of Black excellence in action. His work, his business, and his leadership inspire pride and hope, and we are honored to have Cannon Chiropractic as a valued part of the Chamber family.

Thank You, Dr. Cannon

Dr. Cannon, thank you for your service to our community, your dedication to wellness, and your leadership within the Chamber. Your impact reaches far beyond your practice, and your commitment continues to make Brownsville and Haywood County a stronger place to live and grow.

Healthy businesses build healthy communities—and Cannon Chiropractic is helping build a healthier future for all of us. Black History is American History. Let's all remember that We Are Better Together!!

With gratitude and appreciation,

Sheree Douglas
