The Brownsville Fire Department and Sparky remind everyone that the safest celebration is one where everyone goes home safely.

Before lighting fireworks:

• Keep a bucket of water or hose nearby.
• Light one firework at a time.
• Keep children and pets at a safe distance.
• Never point fireworks at people or structures.

Remember, even sparklers can cause serious burns, so always supervise children closely.

Better yet, enjoy a professional fireworks display and leave the show to the experts!
