Final Ward 2 Meeting Marks a Meaningful Transition

On Thursday, July 23, Ward 2 Alderwoman and Vice Mayor held her final Ward 2 meeting at the Criminal Justice Complex, bringing together residents, community leaders, and local officials for an evening of reflection, appreciation, and transition.

During the meeting, the Vice Mayor officially introduced the new Ward 2 alderman, marking the beginning of a new chapter in leadership while expressing confidence in the future of the ward.

The evening also included special presentations recognizing public service and dedication. The Vice Mayor was honored with a proclamation presented on behalf of Tennessee Senator Page Walley and Representative Johnny Shaw in recognition of her commitment and service to the City of Brownsville and the residents of Ward 2.

In addition, Representative Johnny Shaw was presented with a plaque by Mayor Bill Rawls in appreciation of his remarkable 26 years of dedicated service to the people of Tennessee. The recognition celebrated his longstanding commitment to public service and the positive impact he has made throughout his distinguished career.

The meeting served as both a celebration of accomplishments and a time to look ahead, highlighting the importance of leadership, service, and community. As one chapter closes and another begins, the City extends its gratitude to the Vice Mayor for her years of dedicated service and welcomes the new Ward 2 alderman as he begins serving the residents of the ward.
