Charity Week Grants Open Now: Support for Local Nonprofits July 14–19

The Brownsville Haywood County Chamber of Commerce is excited to share a valuable opportunity for local nonprofits and community-focused organizations to gain financial support for their efforts—through Rent One’s Great Expectations Foundation.

What’s Happening?

Charity Week, hosted by the Great Expectations Foundation, is coming up July 14–19, and it's a prime time for organizations to receive grant funding that makes a meaningful difference in our community. During this week, grant awards typically range from $250 to $2,500, helping support a wide variety of deserving causes—from youth programs to educational initiatives, health services, and beyond.

But here's the best part: grant requests are accepted and reviewed all year long.

Who Should Apply?

If you're part of a nonprofit or community organization doing important work in Haywood County or the surrounding region, you may be eligible for support from the Great Expectations Foundation. The foundation is passionate about creating brighter futures and stronger communities—exactly what our local organizations strive to do every day.

How You Can Help

We encourage all Chamber members, local leaders, and residents to help spread the word. Let the incredible organizations you know and support hear about this opportunity. Whether you're involved directly or simply cheering from the sidelines, sharing this information could help bring vital resources to our region.

About the Foundation

Rent One’s Great Expectations Foundation is a 501(c)(3) that was founded in 2011 by Larry and Sharon Carrico. Their mission is to provide funding for organizations within Rent One and RNR Midwest communities that focus on children’s education, fitness and wellness, along with their emotional and spiritual development. In 2022 to further the reach in their communities they opened grant opportunities to all 501(c)(3) organizations located in communities near the stores. (https://greatexpectationsfoundation.com)
