🌟 Call to Action: Community Food Drive for S.N.A.P. Families in Haywood County 🌟

Last Updated 10/29/2025

The Haywood County community is known for its generosity β€” and once again, we have an opportunity to make a difference. On Thursday, November 6, 2025, from 3 PM to 5 PM, join us at Tamm Park (on the square in Brownsville) for a special Pop-Up Food Drive benefiting local families in need.

πŸ₯« Why This Matters

Many families in our community rely on S.N.A.P. (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits to help put food on the table. Unfortunately, delays or interruptions in those benefits can leave families struggling to meet their most basic needs. This food drive is our collective effort to bridge that gap and ensure that no family in Haywood County goes hungry.

πŸ“ Event Details

Date: Thursday, November 6, 2025
Time: 3 PM – 5 PM
Location: Tamm Park β€” On the square in Brownsville

This is a pop-up style event, meaning it’s quick, easy, and designed for everyone to take part. Simply drive by or walk up to drop off your donations β€” every contribution helps!

🧺 Items We’re Collecting

We are accepting non-perishable food items that can be stored safely and distributed to families in need. Please make sure all items are boxed or bagged before drop-off.

Here’s what we are accepting:

  • Rice

  • Canned Vegetables

  • Beans

  • Peanut Butter & Jelly

  • Pasta

  • Oatmeal

  • Shelf-Stable Milk (Evaporated, Powdered, or Boxed)

These staples are easy to prepare, have long shelf lives, and make a real impact for families facing food insecurity.

πŸ’š How You Can Help

Bring your items, encourage your coworkers, friends, or church groups to participate, and help spread the word! Even one bag of groceries can make a world of difference for a family that’s struggling.

🌍 Together, We Can Strengthen Our Community

When we come together as a community, amazing things happen. This food drive is more than just an event β€” it’s a reminder that neighbors help neighbors, and that compassion and generosity are at the heart of Haywood County.

Let’s stand together to support S.N.A.P. families and make this food drive a success!
