Help Shape the Future of Downtown Brownsville

Last Updated 1/9/2026

Downtown Brownsville is at an exciting moment, and the community’s voice is essential in shaping what comes next.

As part of the Downtown Brownsville Revitalization Roadmap, residents, business owners, and stakeholders are invited to participate in a Downtown Brownsville Visioning Workshop. This interactive workshop is designed to gather ideas, feedback, and priorities that will help guide future improvements and investments in downtown.

The workshop will take place at Brownsville Meeting Grounds, 42 S. Washington Avenue, on Tuesday, January 20th, from 5:00–8:00 p.m. Attendees are welcome to stop by at any point during the event, making it easy to participate on your own schedule.

Participants will have the opportunity to share what they’d like to see in downtown Brownsville—whether that’s new businesses, public spaces, events, infrastructure improvements, or other ideas that would enhance the vitality and character of the area. The feedback gathered will play an important role in shaping the long-term vision for downtown.

For those who are unable to attend in person, there is still an opportunity to be involved. Community members can provide input by completing the online survey available at tinyurl.com/VisionBrownsville.

Your ideas matter. Join the conversation and help set the vision for a stronger, more vibrant Downtown Brownsville.
